Here's what I served at our Memorial Day get-together. Yes, it's a flag cake. I don't normally take pictures of food, but Sarah and I were talking about our recent dessert attempts and here is mine. So this is for you Sarah. I got the recipe from the Barefoot Contessa's cookbook titled
Family Style. The icing is so rich that I cut the butter and cream cheese in half and it was still good. The red stripes are supposed to be raspberries, but who can afford that - so I settled on strawberries. I think I could eat cake 3 times a day!
